Ever mooned the pope?

According to Michelangelo's journals, Raphael Sanzio and another artist convinced the pope that the sculptor was "the best man for the job." Since Raphael knew that Michelangelo had never done a fresco before, Michelangelo believed that it was his way of eliminating the competition. Anyway, the pope convinced Michelangelo to paint the frescos on the Sistine Chapel ceiling (rather rudely).
Many spectators have been curious about "The Creation of Night and Day," a panel in the center of the ceiling depicting a scene from The Book of Genesis. Michelangelo appears to have painted something strange: the person on the left who is flying away from God appears to have (subtly) lowered his robe to reveal his...err lower area. People have done research, and there is a person with distinct likeness to God in this painting: Pope Julius II. Therefore, they have come to the conclusion that Michelangelo painted himself mooning the pope...just another reason why not to get an artist upset with you.
